IBM’s PureSystems Updates: New Density, Power, Innovation

Last week, IBM announced several updates to its PureSystems/Flex System, including new x86- and POWER-based compute nodes; resiliency and usability improvements to its Flex System Manager (FSM) management environment; and three new communications/networking products. To Clabby Analytics, the most impressive aspect of this announcement is the impact that the new compute nodes have on infrastructure density. We were also impressed by some of the innovations coming out of IBM’s System Networking group.
