VCE: Redefining Convergence (Part 2 of 2)
It is always interesting to see large vendors define a new “integrated offering” since it generally matches the parts they make and leaves off the ones they don’t. VCE is currently the only vendor that seems to understand that converged infrastructure means just that: all of the stuff in the Data Center in an appliance-like solution. That jumped out at me when I was visiting VCE last week and listened to their executives and customers. What also seemed clear is that the reason the company’s growth is in a near-vertical trajectory is because their entire fulfillment chain, from product development through sales through deployment, is the most complete in the industry.
