What Do Oracle And North Korea Have In Common? Confirmation Bias
If you look at Oracle‘s repeated (3 times in 2012) hand slaps by NAD (National Advertising Division) for creating false advertising regarding claims that their Sun platforms outperform IBM‘s counterparts, you have to wonder whether Oracle is delusional. They either think IT buyers are pathologically stupid, or that IBM will tire of complaining and allow the ads to go unchallenged. Neither point is remotely likely. Or Oracle is institutionally delusional because, otherwise, they are systematically destroying any credibility they might otherwise have.
