Eliminating ‘Noisy Neighbors’ In The Public Cloud
One problem with multi-tenant public cloud environments is that one or more customers can unduly monopolize the resources available and thus significantly degrade the legitimate and required performance of others. This is called the noisy neighbor problem.
SolidFire eliminates this problem through an architecture — not just a feature —that provides guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) to all tenants. Thus, the company’s all-SSD arrays are architecturally more than the sum of a number of interconnected flash devices, just as an enterprise-class disk array is much more than just a collection of interconnected hard drives.
